Hampton Homestead offers luxury accommodation with personalised service in 3 ensuite rooms (2 queen and 1 King/twin with an extra bed in it) in a 1920’s extension to the original stone cottage built some 50 years earlier. It also works really well for groups of friends or family who may exclusively book the whole place and have dinner, without the need to go anywhere else. Well behaved children are welcome, and parents, or several couples with young children who book in together can dine comfortably after putting the children to bed.

All 3 bathrooms have deep clawfoot baths for those who like a long soak. The baths in Rooms 2 & 3 are situated with a view, and can be bathed in sunshine or stars and moonlight. 

All rooms have electric blankets, TV, DVD,tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, ironing facilities and heated towel rails. A small DVD library is also available for guests who may choose to retreat to their room & watch a movie.

In the warm months all rooms have electric fans, and for those cold days, the house is centrally heated, has an open fire in the stone cottage, and a slow combustion fire on the northern enclosed verandah, which can also be a sunny breakfast place or separate lounge area with views for guests seeking privacy.

There is also a fridge on this verandah which holds milk and water for guests, and may be used to store any perishable food or wine and other cold drinks. A microwave and toaster is also available here for use by B&B guests.

Room 1: This Queen room has a large private bathroom and is on the inner courtyard. Beautiful leadlight windows fronting the verandah provide northerly views.

Room 2: This Queen room has views to the mountains in the east and leadlight windows opening onto the enclosed verandah, looking to the north.


Room 3: This King/Twin room is the largest of the rooms and has its own entrance which opens to the east taking in the vast views across the Megalong valley. The table and chairs outside this room make a favourite place for a private breakfast in the warmer months. There is a fridge in the bathroom for the use of occupants of this room, and also a café table and chairs inside.

The King bed has a lambswool mattress cover for comfort but if requested, this bed can be converted into twin beds. There is another single bed in the room which is used as a day bed or made up for another adult or a child.

 


Hampton Homestead offers the same exclusive and personalised, luxury accommodation whether it be a weekday or weekend, therefore there is no difference between these tariffs. Additionally, while many places require a minimum 2 night stay on weekends, Hampton Homestead does offer single night occupancy (except on long weekends). Stays of 2 nights or more do, however, cost less per night. A minimum stay of 2 nights applies for Long Weekends, and 3 nights for the Easter holiday period.

Hampton Homestead is also pleased to offer ‘Room Only Rates’ for those busy people who need to get away early or aren’t big on breakfast.

Check-in time is from 2pm, but an earlier check-in is possible by prior arrangement.

Check-out time is 10.30am. Late check-out is also possible by arrangement, but a surcharge of $50 may apply.

Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to confirm bookings. As we presently have no credit card facilities, this can be done by sending a cheque made out to ‘Hampton Homestead’, or by electronic funds transfer (EFT) or a deposit of cash at any Westpac branch, into our account. Necessary details will be supplied as required.

Cancellation policy
Bookings cancelled more than 5 days in advance will receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled less than 5 days in advance will forfeit the 50% deposit.
Bookings cancelled less than 24hrs in advance will need to pay the full amount owing.

Where bookings are cancelled due to unforseen circumstances, guests are invited to transfer their deposit (less the $50 fee) to another stay .
